Monika Jansen
Project AssistantMonika recently joined WALKSacramento as Project Assistant to help with the Safe Routes to School programs. She first became enamored with the car-free lifestyle while on study abroad in Berlin. After graduating from UC Davis and spending a few years in Germany and France, Monika decided to move back to her hometown of Davis, where she started to take note of the many barriers to active transportation in our community design. Monika is looking forward to breaking down some of those barriers and also hopes to help build up new infrastructure for human powered transportation.
Carla Virdee
Operations ManagerCarla has extensive experience as an operations manager in the support services field. She has over fifteen years of consulting experience in the areas of administrative management and program management. She has spent the last several years representing a wide variety of non-profit clients and major national associations doing advocacy work. Carla worked in a critical administrative capacity for one of the largest public relations firms in Sacramento where she was actively involved in the creation and management of events and media campaigns.
