Miha Tomuta joined WALKSacramento as a volunteer in 2013. She assists with WALKSacramento’s Safe Routes to School and Complete Streets programs. Miha grew up in Southern California where she thoroughly enjoyed walking to school for 12 years. She has Bachelor’s degrees in European Studies and Geography-Environmental Studies from UCLA and a Master’s degree in Geography from UC Davis. In her Master’s thesis she analyzed local California complete streets policies and the processes which lead to their adoption and implementation. Miha has a passion for street design and is looking forward to creating safe and fun Sacramento streets.
