2nd Annual Regional Convening of Regional Public Health Officers, Planning Directors, and New Partners

Convening Background

On June 7th, 2017 over 80 of the Sacramento Region’s public health and planning decision makers came together at the Maple Neighborhood Center to collaborate on designing healthier communities. County Public Health Officers joined Planning Directors, Public Works Engineers, and Community Benefit Mangers from throughout the region to explore the connections between health, planning, climate change, and equity. Expert presenters including leaders from the Health Care, Energy, Planning, and advocacy fields discussed the importance of incorporating health and equity into the way that communities are built.
