Below are walks sponsored by various organizations in the Sacramento region including WalkSacramento.
Take A Hike In Downtown Sacramento- Walks sponsored by California State Parks are 1-3 miles in length. Click here for walk descriptions and map. These are self-guided walks.
TWITT Walks- There is a new series of weekday walks here in the Sacramento Area. This series is known as the "Twice a Week Itinerant Two Timers" or TWITT for short (yuk yuk). Some of the walks will have Volksmarching credit and some won't (got your Stick's Step Log?). You can get a lot more information about each walk on the website:
http://www.sacramentowalkingsticks.org/UpcomingEvents/TWITTSchedule.html
Walk alerts will be sent out each month, rather than for each event because there are so many. The website will have the latest and has more information than is reasonable to send in an email, including a complete schedule. We have walks scheduled out through April 2008 and all are different walks!
At this point, all of the walks will start at 9:30 or 10:00 am. The start times will likely change to early afternoon mid-January due to schedule conflicts.
If you have questions or are willing to help out, please contact Steve or Gale Hughart at 364-5063 or hugharts@sbcglobal.net
Hope you can join in on the fun,
Steve Hughart
President, Sacramento Walking Sticks
