Crash and Exposure Data
- Download California crash data from the CHP (SWITRS).
- Download nationwide fatality data from the NHTSA (FARS).
- Get Census information on Journey to Work, or build your own table.
- Get National Household Travel Survey data which collects information on all trips and all modes.
- Average Daily Traffic (ADT) counts can be obtained from your local Department of Transportation. Get them for Sacramento County and City of Sacramento. Get counts for California state highways from Caltrans.

- Order pedestrian, bicycle, and scooter safety materials for little or no cost from AAA. You can also download some materials and print them yourself. AAA also has pedestrian safety information on their website.
- Safe Kids USA has safety materials for educators including brochures, tip sheets, and coloring sheets that make good handouts.
- FHWA has printable materials for Spanish speakers.

Pedestreain responsibility I love to walk .I have walked everyday most of my life.I take my dog for an hour walk 3-4 times a week honest. I drive alot too on my job. I see cops set up sting opperations for peaple running through crosswalks. Its never a good idea to teach peaple its okey to walk in front of a car becuse they are supposed to stop. Cops and these stupid sidewalks with no stop lites are getting peaple run over. The older I get the harder it is for me to see its worse at night. PLEASE TEACH COMON SENCE sorry about the speling.
