As a sustainability planning advocate, Lale loves wandering around old towns and cities on foot and getting inspired by communities that encourage environmental-friendly travel. She strongly believes that progressive approaches to land use and transportation planning can lead to a more equitable and sustainable transportation system. She also believes in the power of technology and using data to more comprehensively and accurately plan communities. Her Master’s Thesis on Urban Planning is about using GIS modeling to identify suitable locations for car sharing in Sacramento. Since graduating from San Jose State University Lale has been working in the public sector using her GIS and planning background.
