Hello,

We are currently working on adding in sidewalks on Ring Dr. It is pretty much country lane with ditches as drainage, but we want to replace that with curb, gutter, and sidewalk. It is in our interest to help promote walk-ability as much as possible. There is funding for this project as it is located in a Redevelopment Zone. The Army Depot Redevelopment Zone is looking for projects that will help stabilize neighborhoods, and promote safety, and revitalization. Please, if you can help in any way, we would greatly appreciate it.

Best Wishes,
Jay Raj Narayan

Scott,

Thanks for your comment! We are currently working on improving Safe Routes to School in the unincorporated County, such as Antelope. Speed around schools is an ongoing and persistent problem. We would love to meet with you at the school to review conditions and suggest next steps. I will contact you directly and we can coordinate calendars.

Hello, I am doing research for my son's school about placing a speed lump/hump on the street that the school is on. The school is Dudley Elementary in Antelope. There is only one street that runs along that school, deep in a residential neighborhood. The street name is Aztec Drive. Drivers continently drive 40+ while kids are trying to use the crosswalk. The school can't afford crossing guards and as a parent I even feel at risk just walking across the street to get to the school.

I also work for the Sacramento Bee (photo department) and I've asked our transportation reporter for info and he recommend that I contact you for any leads on how to go about this. I've downloaded the City of Sacramento's Speed Hump Program Guidelines and am currently reviewing them. The school has been denied in the past and I would like to find out why and get some kind of speed protection to the kids of our school.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
